John is an accomplished commercial litigation attorney focused on creditors' rights and collection matters. His finance and banking law background complements his legal practice in handling financial disputes and transactions. Before becoming an attorney, John worked in the credit department of a national bank in San Antonio, gaining practical experience with banking regulations and back-office lending decisions.
John's academic pursuits at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law heavily focused on coursework in creditor and transactional issues, providing a solid foundation for his subsequent legal career.
In 1991, amid the aftermath of the savings and loan crisis, John began his legal practice representing the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) in enforcement and collection actions. This experience allowed him to develop expertise in distressed asset management and regulatory challenges.
Currently, John's practice solely involves representing financial institutions, where he handles matters related to creditors’ rights, collection litigation, and advice pertaining to regulatory and back-office issues. John is passionate about providing the highest level of service and responsiveness to his clients.
